The motion survives the link.

You animate for a living, so a pitch that arrives as a PDF undersells the work. If you present in Keynote, export it to HTML and Linkdeck hosts the real Keynote player: Magic Move, builds in order, and your rendered clips playing inside the slide.

The moment it hurts

You built the style-frame deck with clips from After Effects and transitions timed to the music. The agency asks for a PDF for the client. Every frame you moved is now a still, and the animatic is a single grey poster frame.

What survives

  • Magic Move and builds, in the order you set.
  • Transitions between slides.
  • Embedded clips, playing inside the slide on iPhone and Android; sound starts on the first tap.
  • Hyperlinks to your reel or your site.

How it works

  • In Keynote for Mac: File → Export To → HTML.
  • Right-click the folder and choose Compress.
  • Upload the .zip on linkdeck.me. You get a link straight away, no account needed.
  • Send it. It opens in any browser, landscape, tap to advance.

What Pro adds for motion work

500 MB per deck and 10 decks, for decks heavy with clips. Replace in place when the client picks route B, so the link they already have plays the new cut. Per-slide viewing time shows whether they watched the animatic or skipped past it. A password keeps unreleased work private, and the deck ends on a card with your name and colour instead of Linkdeck branding. €12 a month.

One honest limitation

Linkdeck hosts Keynote decks, not loose video. Your showreel belongs on Vimeo or your site; link to it from the last slide. Linkdeck also does not re-encode clips, so a ProRes master is the wrong file for a phone. Place H.264 at 1080p and keep the 4K for the delivery.

Questions

Does Magic Move survive the export?

Yes. Apple's HTML export includes builds and transitions, and Keynote's web player runs them in the browser. Test any unusual build on a phone before sending.

What is the size limit?

200 MB per deck on Free, 500 MB on Pro. The export is roughly the size of the media in the deck, so trim clips to what you show.

Does the client need Keynote or an Apple ID?

No. The link opens in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer.

Send the pitch with the motion intact

Export to HTML, compress the folder, upload. Your first deck is free for 3 days; Pro keeps it permanent.
