Send the campaign, not a flattened PDF.

A marketing proposal is a show: the mood film, the media plan, the creative routes revealed one at a time. Then it goes out as a PDF and the client reads a stack of stills. If your agency builds proposals in Keynote, Linkdeck hosts Keynote's own HTML export of the deck, so the client sees the pitch you rehearsed.

The moment it goes wrong

The pitch went well in the room. Afterwards the client asks for the deck to share with their CMO. The file is 180 MB because of the sizzle reel, email refuses it, and the PDF you send instead has no video, no builds and no sound. The person who decides never sees what the room saw.

How it works

Two steps on a Mac.

  • In Keynote for Mac: File → Export To → HTML… and save the folder.
  • Drop that folder (or a .zip of it) on linkdeck.me, then paste the link into your follow-up email.

What survives

The link plays Keynote's own HTML player: builds in the order you set, transitions, embedded video, the soundtrack, and hyperlinks to the case studies on your site, which open in a new tab. Sound starts on the client's first tap or click, because browsers block audio until then. It opens in the browser on iPhone, Android, Mac or Windows, and the client needs no Keynote, no Apple ID and no account.

What matters for an agency

These come with a kept deck (€9 once, for that deck) or with Pro (€12 a month, every deck).

  • Per-slide analytics: how long viewers spent on each slide and how many got that far. If the media plan held them for two minutes and the creative got a glance, you know what the next call is about.
  • Email gate: the deck asks for an email address before it opens, and the addresses show up in your analytics, which gives you a sense of who the proposal reached. It is not a lock: anyone can type any address.
  • Replace in place: fix the budget slide and the link already in the client's inbox plays the new version.
  • A password for unreleased creative, and your agency name on the end card with no Linkdeck branding.

Two honest limits

Linkdeck is one login per account. There are no seats and no shared workspace, so an agency with several account directors either shares one login or each person runs their own account. And if your proposals are built in PowerPoint or Google Slides, this is not for you: Linkdeck hosts Keynote HTML exports only.

Questions

Can the client forward the link to their CMO?

Yes. Anyone with the link can open it. Turn on the email gate if you want to see the addresses of the people it reached; it asks for an email but does not keep anyone out. If the deck should stay with certain people, add a password, and remember that anyone you give the password to can pass it on.

How large can a proposal with video be?

Free decks up to 200 MB. On Pro each deck can be up to 500 MB. A kept deck has the same size limit as your account.

Can we put proposals on our own domain?

No. Links live at linkdeck.me, and Pro lets you choose the name after the slash. Custom domains are not available.
